Anesthesia, Pneumonia, Pressure Ulcers, OH MY!

There are so many complications that come with a hip fracture; the side effects that come from hospitalization are ghastly. Theseare among some of the major complications that can be caused after a hip fracture:

*Anesthesia: Most surgical procedures require this. There could be problems with medical complications, drugs used, and even the anesthesia.

*Pneumonia:Bed rest increases your chance of developing pneumonia. After the hip fracture, a lot of rest is needed.

*Pressure Ulcers (Bed Sores): When lying down in bed due to the hip fracture, bed sores happen due to pressure against the skin and lack of blood flow.

*Thrombophlebitis (Blood Clots): This is also caused from lying down and remaining still. They typically form on the legs where the greatest pressure is exerted from the body.

*Mental Confusion: No one likes hospitals. When someone is admitted they may experience stress, different behavior and sometimes become depressed.

What if you could avoid all of this?

There is a way to reduce the probability of experiencing a hip fracture due to a fall! ComfiHips® does that.
