Get Up and Go Test

Rein Tideiksaar designed a mobility test for people to determine if they are at risk of falling (www.seekwellness.com). It was reported that people who need to use their hands to rise from a standard sitting position have DOUBLE the chance of falling than someone who is of similar age. He recommends this test:

1.    Get up (without the use of armrests)

2.    Stand still momentarily.

3.    Walk forward 10 feet.

4.    Turn around and walk back to the chair.

5.    Sit back down.

If there are any issues with these tasks, then you are at risk of falling. Protect yourself with ComfiHips®.

We do not want people to fall; but if they do, we are here to protect their hips. ComfiHips® is revolutionizing hip protection with its high impact absorption and affordability; around the clock hip protection…comfortably! Visit us at www.comfihips.com for more information.
